I am a Full Professor (W3) and Head of the Computer Networks group in the Department of Computer Science at Paderborn University. I am generally interested in the design, implementation, and evaluation of cloud- or mobile-based networked systems for supporting demanding workloads such as AI/ML inference and live video analytics. I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2015. Before joining Paderborn University, I was a tenured Assistant Professor in the Computer Systems group at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Before that, I held (visiting) positions at TU Darmstadt, SnT Luxembourg, and IMDEA Networks Institute.
